CHICKAMAUGA LAKE Chasing Winter Bass

It is never a bad day to be out on the famous Chickamauga lake here in Tennessee knowing that with every cast you have the opportunity to hook into the bass of a lifetime. We were faced with unusual conditions today due to the fact that for the past month we have had very mild warmer conditions than we are used to experiencing this time of year coupled with heavy amounts of rainfall throughout the region which has caused TVA to really pump the water through many of our east Tennessee lakes. The increased current out on the main channel has pushed a large population of shad and bass up into shallow water in coves, pockets, and creek mouths adjacent to the main channel and you have to get out on the water and put the time in to find these areas that the current has concentrated these fish in.
