Current River Below Montauk State Park

Fishing the Current River Below Montauk State Park from It was the third week in March in central Missouri on the Current River. The Current is fed by Montauk Spring/State Park…and the overflow of rainbows that have escaped into the river make for a ‘journey less traveled’ kind of fly fishing event. When combined with the fact that there is a nice population of browns in the river…it can be a lot of fun and frankly is about as remote and beautiful as it gets. There is also a lot of access and at convenient intervals to be walked…so, give this short video a watch and hope you can make it down the Current at some point. Check out my web site, FlyFishingWithJeff.com for more fly fishing tips and info.
